This advanced two-day track is designed for litigators handling complex civil cases involving traumatic brain injury (TBI), expert testimony, and high-stakes discovery disputes.
Day One
TBI - Scientific Developments in Traumatic Brain Injury Cases; Using Scientific Developments to Strengthen Injury Claims and Defenses
Attendees will gain an overview of emerging medical and psychological evidence used in traumatic brain injury cases and how courts assess its reliability under Daubert. The program focuses on practical litigation strategies, expert selection, and integrating scientific evidence into TBI and other injury-related cases.
Day Two
Discovery - Handling Experts and Discovery in Catastrophic Injury Cases
This CLE examines best practices for retaining, disclosing, and defending expert witnesses, with a focus on depositions, admissibility challenges, and Daubert motion practice. It also addresses common discovery disputes involving expert materials, methodologies, and data, and how those disputes shape pretrial strategy.
