Day One
Your Annual Case Law and Legislative Updates/Hot Tips!
This session will provide a comprehensive overview of recent case law and legislative developments impacting family law practice. Attendees will gain insight into key judicial decisions and statutory changes, along with practical tips for applying these developments in their daily practice.
Day Two
Legal Pathways: Family Law in a Global Age: This session will explore the intersection of family law and immigration law, including challenges faced by families, current legal developments affecting immigrant communities, service of process in foreign countries, and practical guidance on UCCJEA and Hague Convention applications.
From Conflict to Compromise: Preparing Clients for Effective Mediation and Handling Significant Issues in Mediation: This session will focus on practical strategies attorneys can use to prepare clients for successful mediation, including setting realistic expectations, explaining the mediation process, managing client emotions, and fostering productive dialogue and informed decision-making.
